The IRT3030 Braun ThermoScan 3 compact infrared Ear thermometer produces fast & accurate measurement in just 1 second and it's great for sharing with the whole family, including new-borns. It measures the infrared heat generated by the eardrum and the surrounding tissues with clinically proven accuracy and improved clean ability of the sensor tip, if accidentally used without a probe cover. Disposable lens filters offer hygienic use, with BPA & latex FREE disposable Probe covers there's no need to clean or disinfect the probe using a clean disposable cover with each measurement: 1. Ensures hygienic use 2. Protects from cross-contamination 3. Ensures earwax residues do not impact accuracy of the reading. The easy to read LCD display gives readings in Celsius (34 - 42.2C) or Fahrenheit (93.2 - 108F) and recalls the last temperature reading auto shut-off after 60 seconds for longer battery life. Also, a new audio fever indicator provides an alternative way to interpret the temperature value. This produces a number of beeps indicating the following: 1 beep is normal, 2 beeps is elevated, and 4 beeps is high temperature.
